Thank You NPR and KUT for SXSW Live

NPR is down here recording tons of music and doing great interviews with musicians during SXSW 2008 and thanks to KUT who is broadcasting all this stuff live.

Last night I was able to enjoy REM playing at Stubb's, from the comfort of my home, and right now I am stoked to be hearing My Morning Jacket playing at the newly renovated Austin Music Hall.

Truly great stuff. Thanks to all you worked to get this on that air. We enjoy it and support you.

  1. Yeah! I heard part of the MMJ set on the radio too. Great treat for those of us who couldn't make it the showcases.

  2. Dang, I didn't know they were broadcasting REM; I would've checked it. Off to see if they have a streamable archive version. Don't forget to be kind to KUT at the next fund drive.

  3. @rob: You can stream the older stuff if you go to sxsw.kut.org, there's a little streaming thing on that page. Another thing you might want to check out are all the live shows in KUT studios this week, they're available for download in MP3 form. Sea Wolf today was great.

  4. Thanks for the nice words, y'all. Cool to know people were listening to the live broadcasts this year. We're still putting up more vids, and other stuff we gathered so hope you get a chance to check out the site... All best, -David @ KUT
